Deeya is a senior at Brown in the Program in Liberal Medical education studying English/Nonfiction. She has been writing since before she can remember, and some of her favorite genres are memoir, creative nonfiction, and other personal-essay styles. Other than that, she is also an avid golfer, Christmas-lover, Taylor Swift enthusiast, and will not shut up about her small white dog. She is so happy and grateful to lead Sole for her third year :)
Elsa is a sophomore from Santa Monica, CA studying Literary Arts and Music (who is thrilled to be a part of Sole this year!). When she isn’t writing, you can usually find her playing the flute, crafting, traveling, or re-reading a Sally Rooney novel.
Kate is a junior from Northern California. At Brown, she studies anthropology, literary arts, and the practice of eating popcorn with chopsticks. She plans to write about you in a novel someday.
Desi is a junior from Denver, CO studying history. He loves humor, family narratives, and scandalous stories. In his free time, he enjoys playing the piano, board gaming, asking intrusive questions, and spending time with family.

Chloe is a junior from Swarthmore, PA studying literary arts and linguistics. She enjoys word puzzles, poetry, and talking at length about movies.
Ashley is from Louisville, Kentucky and is concentrating in Cognitive Neuroscience and Political Science!
Rachel is a sophomore concentrating in English on the nonfiction track. When she's not working at Sole she enjoys practicing ceramics and occasionally feeding her bread starter.
Sara is a junior from San Francisco, CA and studies English (Non-Fiction). When she's not searching for her wallet, collecting mugs, rapidly changing the subject in conversation, or one-upping "that's what she said" jokes, you can probably find her inventing new ways to sit in large armchairs. One day, she hopes to find her airpods.
Riley is a senior from Waldoboro, Maine studying Environmental Science. She likes chocolate milk, wildflower bouquets, and going to bed early.
Lucy is a sophomore studying International & Public Affairs. She is as bicoastal (Seattle and NYC) as she is obsessed with writing silly little essays about herself, even if it means reflecting on things she’d rather ignore. She loves sardines so much she got them tattooed.
Elaine is a first-year prospective English concentrator from Indiana. She lived in Seattle and St. Louis and worked as a professional ballet dancer before coming to Brown. When she's not writing, she can be found compiling a playlist or starting an involved craft project that she will soon abandon.
Anika is a sophomore from Mumbai, India currently concentrating in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. When she's not writing, you can find her playing piano, getting beat up in Taekwondo, asking people about their pets, and forgetting to water her plants.
Annabelle is a sophomore from Carbondale, Colorado. She loves to be outside exploring the mountains, upside down on a trapeze, or sitting on the street petting a stranger's dog. You'll never find her without her journal, fountain pen, and a good book!
Jules Corwin is a transfer senior to Brown. She is stoked to be a member of the Sole community! Her writing, exclusively creative nonfiction, is one of her main ways of connecting with the world and other people. Her go-tos for any writing session are iced coffee, lo-fi music, and cozy slippers.
Luca is a sophomore from Boston, Massachusetts intending to concentrate in History and considering a second concentration in either English or International and Public Policy. He loves cooking & gardening, foreign languages, photography, soccer, and of course, writing.
Sarah is a senior from Downingtown, Pennsylvania concentrating in psychology. Outside of writing for Sole, she works as a research assistant in the Causality and Mind Lab, likes exploring New England, meditating, trying out new things on campus, and Bajas (the bigger one)
Cameron is a sophomore from New York studying economics and architecture. In her spare time, you can find her painting on the green, playing the cello, or thrifting around Providence.
Anna is a freshman from Colorado and she intends to study Political Science while at Brown! She enjoys making art, spending time outside, and having sweet treats!
